Suggest Treatment For Radiating Pain From Upper Back To Elbow
I have a sprained shoulder and arm. Nerve twitches as well along area around the elbow. The pain has centralized in upper back of my right arm radiating through the elbow. Cold makes it hurt more. and heat really does nothing. Dr gave me muscle relaxers and pain meds but don t stop pain.
As you have mentioned that you have sustained an injury over the your shoulder and arm. You might have had some sort of muscle strain or tear in muscle fibers which is not an uncommon condition. Such injuries take a long time to recover fully.
I would advise you to give rest to the area as much as possible and wait for the full recovery which might take few months time also. If the pain is troubling you then you can take pain killers like paracetamol or Combiflam. Applying pain killer ointments can also help you.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
