Suggest Treatment For Rapid Heart Rate

I went up two flight of stairs earlier today and when I reached the top of the second sest my heart started beating really fast. I got in the shower and got changed and it was still doing it. It did nto stop until about 10 minutes after I sat. SO I had it for atotal of about 20-25minutes. Then just now when I went back up and down my basement stairs I got a little out of breath.
