Suggest Treatment For Rapid Heartbeat And BP While On Lotrel
I took lotrel for 4 days started having rapid heartbeat, blood pressure was all over the place ended up in ER twice they couldn t find anything wrong, said maybe a reaction, my question is how long for this to get out of your blood stream it s been 9 days and I still feel terrible
You suffered a severe side effect of the medicine. Take plenty of water, water helps to flush it out of the body. Take adequate sleep and avoid heavy work. The medicine may take 14-15 days to get out of the blood stream. But it depends on the doses that has already been taken. You can get Cardiac function tests done to stay on the safer side. Lipid profile, EKG and stress test & other imaging tests if required.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
