Hi, I had uterus biopsy and came down with mrs not knowing. doctor prescribed antibiotic which mrsa i resistant to. In a week I went to another doctor with worse symptoms. Was given doxicyclin for another 7 days. in mean time results came with mrsa. Also developed blade infection and was put on another antibiotic for 5 days. In the mean time, developed rash in my rectal areaa, burning cracked skin. Was given three fluconazole pills, used two but the skin looks the same. It is not itchy but rather burning. Please help me. For the the whole three weeks I/m having stomach issues, all day discomfort. Going to do CT of my stomach today. Please help on suggestion for the rectal area. The skin seems to have more cracks then a week ago. Thank you so much.
The rash in rectal area is most probably related to constipation induced skin friction or fissure development, seemingly from consumption of higher antibiotic for MRSA infection.
I would recommend: - Sitz bath (sitting in a tub filled with lukewarm water) - Avoid constipation with plenty of liquids, high fiber diet, laxopeg sachets - Local application of analgesic ointment as xylocaine (5%) - Consult your surgeon for further guidelines of therapy
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
