Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is 14 and has developed some sort of rash, I m not sure if it s shingles she has had the chickenpox vaccine and has no fever but the areas are hot to the touch and she isn t complaining they hurt only if she touches them.....isn t she too young to develop shingles if this is what it may be?
I would like to know a few more details related. Does the rash like blisters or is it raised round patches? Does anyone in her age group have this type of rashes in your neighbourhood? Also is there any history of insect bite recently? Is it localized or not?
Shingles are unlikely cause they are very painful and also has a unique presentation of being limited to one area. Kindly revert back with your answers so that I can help you.
Thanks
