General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If you are still experiencing itching despite taking the medications prescribed by your doctor, it's best to follow up with them to reassess your condition and see if an alternative treatment plan may be necessary. In the meantime, you can try taking antihistamines such as Benadryl or applying over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream to the affected area to alleviate itching. Avoid scratching the skin as it can worsen the itching and cause skin damage.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
