General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction to Metformin. I suggest using an antihistamine such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily in the evening. I also suggest to avoid using Metformin and consult your doctor about an alternative treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
