Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has a rash in the groin area and up to the waist, also on either side of the hip area. The rash also extends down to the inner legs (thigh area) on both legs. He took one antibiotic on Wednesday night and one on Thursday morning. He is allergic to penicillin and the antibiotic is Augmentin 875-125. The rash started on Thursday morning and has gotten progressively worse. I am wondering if it could be shingles although I think I read shingles is only experienced on one side of the body. Is that true? Any answers for me?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern this could be due to hypersensitivity reaction and this can be well managed with the medicine given below, if he is on some medicines then that could be the reason of the rash 1) Tab Levocetrizine 10 mg three times in day hope this information helps, take care.
