Suggest Treatment For Rashes In The Inner Thigh

Hi I have a 5 month old who has rashes on both side of this inner thigh. I suspect this is due to the diaper pant which we use. We apply rash cream generously before every diaper. However unsure how the rashes came. Kindly suggest any cream / medicine for the same.

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Rashes in inner thigh could be due to diper rash, fungal infection.
Diaper rash is due to chemical reaction between urine , feces and diaper material with skin.
I would suggest to consult your pediatrician fir examination and proper treatment.
Following treatment will help you:
Avoid diper in day time and even during day time use for short period.
Use pure cotton loose diper.
Apply barrier ointments with zinc each time after your baby soils.
Keep the area clean and dry.
Use warm water to clean and avoid soaps.
Use mild cleaning solutions like syndet.
If rash is in red color then antibacterials like fusidic acid and antifungal cream like clotrimazole should be useful.
