Suggest Treatment For Rashes Near The Vagina And Anus
Hi I was given a steroid to take for 5 days for inflammation and itching on my foot because i had bunion surgery. Turns out that I was allergic to something so therefore the steroids. Is it possible that the steroids gave me this rash I have near my vagina and anus?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Rashes what you are having around the region of vagina and anus could be due to allergic and inflammation of the skin in the region. Kindly do the following to overcome the same. 1. Clean the area with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice daily. 2. Use anti-bacterial medicated soaps to take bath regularly. 3. After drying, apply Neomycin with Hydrocortisone cream over the lesions. 4. Take Tablet. Levocetirizine once a day to control itching and overcome allergic reactions. 5. Wear loose fitting undergarments to prevent friction and providing proper ventilation. 6. Abstain from sexual activities till the lesions heal completely. Main good personal hygiene. Gradually your symptoms should subside and be back to normal. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
