Suggest Treatment For Rashes On Buttocks While On Skelaxin
I was having sciatica pain and I took one skelaxin. I got very tired and sleep for 10 hours. Didn t take any more. I now that was a day ago.. I now have a rash one my buttock , same side as the sciatica with a spot of rash on ankle and neck. Rash itches and hurts.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have rashes on buttocks while on Skelaxin which is mainly due to adverse effect caused by medication.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep this area clean and dry and you should apply cream containing benzoyl peroxide. Avoid itching and pricking rashes and wear loose clothes to avoid friction if any to avoid heat generation. You should apply warm compresses with soaked towel and apply vitamin C serum at night. If condition doesn't get better then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically along with blood test and may prescribed proper course of antibiotics.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
