Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a skin rash on my neck and chest. I live in Oregon and just returned from L.A. where the rash began. I am wondering if it is a heat rash as I am very sensitive to heat and it was very hot in L.A. It is itchy and I feel exhausted, but I don t know if that is related. Thank you for your help.
Your rashes are due to hot. You can treat your rashes on neck and chest by taking Tablet-Levocetrizine (if no allergy), once at bed time at the interval of 24 hours for 10 days. Apply Calamine lotion (if no allergy) on affected area 3-4 times in a day after cleaning with tap water. Take ORS powder at-least 10 glasses in a day to decrease the exhausted feeling which occurs due to hot.
Keep the affected area clean and maintain hygiene. Wear cotton clothes. Do not use hot water for bathing. Take maximum liquid to maintain fluid level in the body.
Hope this information will be helpful to resolve your query and further queries are always welcome. I will like to answer them.
Wish you good health. Take Care, Thank You.
