Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Forearms

I have a rash looks like linear and round blotches read about poison ivy & may br just that. while doing some weeding about 7 -10 days ago i may have unknowingly come into contact with the plant not sure. however, I have this rash now on my right and left forearms, between my fingers and this morning i noticed more bumps on my abdomen, and new area on both upper thighs. why is this spreading? I showered, put on clean clothing, used fresh towels to dry and changed the bed linen. the itch isa little painful and burning. trying not to itch but almost impossible what can i do to get some relief?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The rash you explain is unlikely to be due to poison ivy. This is the case because poison ivy generally causes rash only on the areas of contact. The presence of the rash on your abdomen and upper things makes it less likely for this to be poison ivy.

I would recommend you to see your doctor and have a though physical examination to pinpoint the cause of your rash.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
