I had an allergic reaction to the omeprazole! I cant believe it, I was taking it for 3 weeks prior. I broke out in a rash on the sides of my ribs and small rash on tops of my toes and my palms and the bottoms of my feet were itching like crazy. it seem to have subsided now but since the pill is time release I dont know if I should be concerned that the reaction can come back. the small rash looked like small pin dots that were red and a small or medium sized rash to accompany
Omeprazole has a very short half life. The half life of a medication is the time it takes for the amount of medication in the body to decrease by half.
After 3 to 5 half lives, the medication would be mostly eliminated.
A further reaction should not occur.
I hope this helps
