Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has a rash under his arm, on the back of his neck and hip. He said it doesn t hurt, and itches sometimes. We ve tries Benadryl and cortisone cream, but neither helps. It s not hives. He has had it for about a week and it s not going away. He has no allergies and we haven t changed anything or eaten anything different. I m stumped as what it could be.
I have gone through your complaints and it could be a fungal infection. I would recommend you to apply miconazole cream on the affected areas twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet cetrizine 10 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Asmeet Kaur Sawhney,
Dermatologist
