Suggest Treatment For Rectal Bleeding And Mucus In Stools
I m a 26 yr old female recently I have been Having rectal bleeding, & mucus in my stools along with abdominal pain, acid reflux or heartburn, both flatulent n Eructation gas, & occasional vomiting caused by the pains n stomach but mostly from acid reflux. The eructation gases have a very distinct taste of sulfur or rotten eggs and an strong odor best described as rotten eggs. What are the causes of these symptoms? Should I be worried? What are some treatment options?
I think you should get evaluated immediately. You should do a stool culture to check for infection and stool parasitic test. Also do helicobacter pylori test. If these come out normal you may need to do colonoscopy. The bleeding from gastrointestinal tract needed to be evaluated soon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
