Suggest Treatment For Rectal Bleeding While Suffering From Hemorrhoids

My sister got her blood work back from a blood doctor. The results were sent to regular doctor. Her husband got a call from the doctors office saying that the doctor wanted to see her right away. She feels light headed, dizzy, and bleeds from her hemroids. The results showed very low red blood cell count and low sodium. What could this mean? She feels like this even when she is not having bowel problems. She takes meds for siezers, blood preasure, cholesteral (high), I think thats it.

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic., I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
It looks to me like hemoorhoid which is located in anal canal and may protrude outside. Hemoorhoids are protrusions of veins in rectal wall and there are several stages of hemorrhodal disease and the right treatment depends on type and stage of the disease.
Initially it can be treated with dietary changes by having hogh fibre diet with lot of fluids and make your stool soft. There are supplemets such as Psilium and Detralex which may help as well.
Also, you should use sitz baths and have hemorrhoidal cream.
Second, it can be treated with rubber ligation or sclerosation and in severe stages, the surgery is recommended but for this you should consult proctologist.
Other causes include abscess and anal polyps but for this differentiation you should do proctological examination. Till that , try to follow my recommendations and see if this will be helpful.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
