Suggest Treatment For Rectal Bleeding

Hi: My question is about cancer My husband is gone to pick up our friend at the hospital. Both her and her husband are huge drinkers. My husband is close to her husband and I told him that he needs to sit down with the husband and show him the facts about alcohol and the link to poor health. The wife was in rehab for approx. three weeks and within a couple of days, she was drinking again. She weighs about 80 pounds. Both of our friends are in denial. The doctor told her that she was going to die if she did not stop drinking. Now she has rectal bleeding. What would be the best medical website to show them and perhaps shock them into reality, before we lose them, both. He also has heart issues. I would appreciate hearing from you. I want to forward your response to them. Thank you for your time.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to hemorrhoids.

For that you can take tablet acetaminophen.

You can apply lignocaine Jelly locally.

Take soft diet. Avoid heavy meal.

In case of not getting relief you may require surgical removal after surgeon consultation

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
