Hi,
I usually advice nitrofeurentoin if patient gets reccurent UTI but your father has to undergo some test like urine culture and sensitivity,HIV and Complete blood count, along with xray KUB,and IVP to rule out cause of hydronephrosis,
Always keep genitals clean, drink plenty of water, eat healthy food,be hygienic,
To get test done and tablets prescribed please visit urologist.
Hope this information helps.
