Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
If i am having recurrent back pain after travel what shall i do.I was diagnised with L5S1 disc buldge in 2009 and each and every year after a long trip mostly in car i am having back pain.I used to take complete back rest for 3 days then my symptoms improve and after a while like 6 or 7 months my pain starts after a strain like travel or exercise
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM With L5S1 disc bulge, the symptoms you present are common. There exist many treatment options for such conditions. Many options may be used at a time but your Doctor is always in the best place to know which ones to prescribe after a physical examination.Treatment options may include: -Different lines of pain drugs depending on the intensity of the pain -Myorelaxants like miorel -Sterois shots/infiltration with anesthesia occasionally -Physiotherapy. Measures like enough rest, balanced diet, fitness exercises are always recommended. If the pain is too serious, i will suggest you see the Doctor to judge which of the above will be best for you.You may however get a pain drug like ibuprofen and a myorelaxant like miorel while you prepare to see the Doctor. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
