Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had numerous bladder infections. One being or several being Kiebsiella. I have read that this could be caused by a breathing machine. I do have a C-pap machine and I clean it every 3 days. I alcholhol the nose piece and also use anti bacterial soap on the hose. It seems like I get ride of one infection and within 5 days another one starts. The urologist had me on a regimine of Macrobid 100mg for a yr and it did keep it down, but not gone. This getting very concerning. Any suggestions would be helpful, I do continue to wash my hands
As per my clinical experience, recurrent bladder infection can be related to various possible issues as: - Low immunity - Narrowing of urethral passage as stricture or else - Calculus or gravels in the urinary system - Drug resistance organisms - Sexual transmitted disease associated - Hygiene lack - Diabetes - Others
However, please provide me all details of your work up for the follow up discussion and let me help you at my best.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
