Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I have a bladder infection. It is reoccurring after treatment with macrobid for one week. I am Canadian in the US for another few weeks and would like to solve this myself without seeing a doctor for a prescription. What can you suggest? I plan to give up caffeine. I drink wine and soda, a few glasses each evening and now know that the soda is bad (carbonated) and owner about the wine. I am taking cranberry tablets and have just increased my vitamin c. Drinking lots of water, urinating a often I fell the urge. My urine is back to being cloudy and slightly foamy. Anything I am missing in home remedies? Thanks Ginny
A recurrent infection can't be cured with home remedies. You should do an uroculture after you complete 10 days from the last antibiotic treatment. The uroculture antibiograme will show the kind of antibiotic which is right for you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
