Scanty flow in the periods can be present in pregnancy, hormonal imbalance or due to the effect of the drugs.
I will suggest her to get a urine pregnancy test to confirm the diagnosis. If negative, then you both should go for assisted reproductive technology like IUI and IVF for conception.
In 20-30% cases of infertility, no cause is found in either partner and this condition is known as unexplained infertility.
In this situation, if medications are not helpful, then one should go for assisted reproductive technology.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
