Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Prostatitis is a stubborn disease and it requires a long term antibiotics to treat it. Mostly when I suspect a patient with Prostatitis, I start him on Levofloxacin and Azithromycin for atleast 1 month as it requires much higher doses of antibiotic to reach prostate to eliminate the infection.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
