Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Sore Throat Despite Taking Steroids

I started with a sore throat 2 1/2 weeks ago, no fever but after 1 week I went to urgent care. They put me on a steroid because my throat hurt so bad I could not talk and even not talking it was a 7. Felt better for 4-5 days after the steroid kicked in. Now sore throat is back, but not as sever; however, I am really tired all the time and I feel more hungry than normal. Again no fever.

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
The throat infection can be because of the bacterial infection. Nothing to be panic, you can take a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin(if you are not allergic). Stop taking steroids, it might reduce the symptoms but it will reduce your immunity and makes you more vulnerable for infections. So consult a good ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. Do saline gargling.
I hope I have answered your query. take care
