General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I am sorry for the situation your son is in.

From what you are reporting, the ongoing stomach infection might be due to:
- virus/parasites/bacteria: culture of stool is recommended together with examination of feces for ova/parasites

I also advise to run further examinations to exclude appendicitis :
- complete blood count
- CRP, fibrinogen, ERS
- abdominal ultrasound

Discuss with his pediatrician about this.

Wish fast recovery!
