Suggest Treatment For Recurring UTI

Hi, I have a long history of uti s that spread to my kidneys. for over 10 years. They can not figure out why. I have constant back pain and have been in and out of the hospital for it at least twice a year. I am sure I have another UTI. I am experiencing bad lower back pain, and urgency when I urinate. I am suffering with diarrhea, urinating only once a day, no matter how much I drink. I dont know what else to do. The ER keeps sending me home, and oral antibiotics are not staying down or working. I usually end up in the hospital because only IV antibiotics will work. I m at my wits end.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Chronic diarrhea with low urine output and recurrent UTI may indicate underlying Crohn`s disease, IBD or else.

Need immediate workup with lab reports of creatinine, bowel series evaluation with colonoscopy and so forth for the best diagnosis and care ahead before it damages further body systems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
