I've had an infection for over four weeks now and have been to the doctor's office twice. First they said it was a uti and they prescribed me an antibiotic. when that failed to take care of the issue I went back and they said it was a yeast infection and prescribed two Fluconazole tablets, those failed to completely remove the infection so they gave me two more. I have one left, but there is still a burning sensation when I urinate and mild discomfort. I don't know what to do to get rid of the infection.
as much as i can understand you were treated emperically till date , now you just send your urine for culture and sensitivity and take medicine accordingly. and it is important to rule out tuberculosis of urinary tract.
