Suggest Treatment For Recurring Ear Infection With Dry Cough

My daughter is on amoxcillyn for an ear infection. Started getting a sore thoart 4 days ago doc took swab for strep & test for grandular fever both came back negative - fantastic then 2 days ago developed ear infection. Also has a dry cough. I told her she can t play netball on Wednesday since her ear is still blocked & could affect her balance and cause an injury. Her iron count was 38. She is 16 plays lots of sport & generally very well.

Hello,

As you explain the situation, in my opinion, you don't need to worry so much. She can play instead of its not contraindicated for ear infection. It seems like a viral situation usually lasts for max 5-7 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
