Suggest Treatment For Recurring Episodes Of Excessive Sweating

I have been getting severe head sweats lately. I had them a couple of yrs. ago and found out all of my medications could cause that, so I stopped taking them. Now , they started again. I can get them 2 to 4 times a day and can last for an hour or two. My head drips with sweat and I look like someone poured a bucket of water over my head. If I have my sunglasses or glasses on, I have to remove them cause the lense fog over from steam. Any idea s?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to hypoglycemia or hypotension.

For that do fasting and postprandial sugar levels. Do regular blood pressure monitoring.

Treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition. In case of fever you may require blood investigation after detailed medical examination and physician's opinion.

Keep your self hydrated. Take balanced diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
