Suggest Treatment For Recurring Fever With WBC Being 21000

Hi my mother is 70. She had an infection with cough for 3 months and now cough recovered. Her wbc is around 21000 and been admitted to hospital for diagnose since last 5 days. Fever comes every 8 hours. Her weight is around 42 kg. Doctor giving his best. My question how much time it should take to recover.

A high white cell count can occur as a result of infection most commonly but there are other causes that her doctor would also likely rule out.
It can be elevated in some types of cancer as well.

Recovery would depend on the cause of the increase WBC and response to treatment.
