Suggest Treatment For Recurring Headache And Cracking Sound In The Neck
Hi, I have a reaccuring headache. For the threes weeks now and located in the front section of my head. I have taken pain meds but it never goes completely away. Is there anything I can do to relieve some pressure in my head?. I do have a neck issue where my bones make a cracking noise when I turn in any direction. Could this neck issue be the cause of my severe headache?
Cracking sound in the neck is fine. No worries. But you should not purposely do it by pushing your neck or making someone do it, it may cause damage to the spine or the ligaments of the neck. Headache in the forehead is due to musculo-cutaneous problems in the neck, tiredness, bad posture or problems like depression, anxiety or stress (physical / emotional). Take acetaminophen for relief and stay in comfortable dim lights, avoid exposure in the sunlight. Stay well hydrated & avoid addictions if any. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP and get X-Ray, CT, MRI neck done to detect pathology if any.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
