Suggest Treatment For Recurring Rashes On Arms, Legs And Chest

I have a rcurrence of unexplained skin outbreaks and rashes--some severe-- preceded by swollen veins and burning sensation at the site of the outbreak, which is usually on my arms, legs, chest or abdominal and occasionally on my legs. The outbreaks become more pronounced when I ingest starches, sugar or alcohol. Previously it was attributed to leaky gut and the symptoms subsided and stopped completely with a diet change and supplements including a probiotic. I have continued the supplements and am seeking a cause for the recurrence.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a fod intolerance. I sugegst to do the intolerance test for further evaluation. Meanwhile, I suggest to avoid the foods that you mentioned in the query that trigger the symptoms. I also recommend to use an antihistamine medication such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily. I suggest using Calamine lotion for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
