Suggest Treatment For Recurring Sharp Pain In Ear

Hello doctor,
Ive just met an ENT specialist and im quite confused what the problem is.. I have been having a very sharp pain in my ear which lasts for like 2 - 3 seconds and comes back after a long interval (Like 1 hour) When i met the doctor he said its due to the fluids behind ear drums. There could be infection. I have cold and also dizziness which is persistant. Doctor has prescribed me Neksium 40mg,Zerodol-p and Zifi200. Will these medicines be effective? Or any other treatments to opt for?
