Hello,

It is good to know that you have a negative HIV report. You are getting recurring typhoid. Presently you are suffering from body ache. Typhoid has a recurring tendency if you do not take proper care of yourself. Continue to take your prescription medicine from your treating doctor. Get clinically examined again. You should drink boiled water. Avoid taking raw food or semi-cooked food. Do not take raw fruits or vegetables. Take well cooked whole cereals, well cooked vegetables. You can take fruits cooked in oats meal or custard.

For a few days avoid taking full fat dairy products, avoid red meat, cheese, etc. Do not take food that takes a long time to get digested. Take food that is easily digestible in small portions multiple times a day. Take home made boiled food or food cooked in olive oil. Avoid spicy, oily food for a month or two since you are getting relapses. Take adequate rest and stay well hydrated. To ease body ache, you can take Acetaminophen or Combiflam one SOS after food only when needed. Get follow up clinical examination done by your treating doctor, get repeat Widal test done, you may need antibiotics.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
