Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an allergy to proplyene glycol. I am on vacation. I had a bad reaction in early February. My doctor prescribed a steroid and an antihistamine which I took and finished. My face, eyes, chin are very red and itchy again. Is there any over the counter medications that would help, or do I need to see a doctor.
I think the first thing to do is to go away of the exposure to Propylene glycol. You can use antihistamines such as Benadryl or Cetirizine for redness and itching. You can find antihistamines OTC.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
