Suggest Treatment For Red And Itchy Skin Patch On Nose

Hello, I ve had this weird itchy, red, and flaky spot on my nose area for over a month and it s getting bigger and bigger. Since I couldnt afford to see a dermatologist, I asked for advice from the pharmacists at the drug stores and tried numerous products, such as Cortizone, Aveeno Eczema, TriDema Psoriasis Control, Benadryl Itch Cooling Spray, and right now Sun Bum Hydrating After Sun Gel. Unfortunately, none of these products has worked and somehow made the condition even worse. I m in desparate of a solution because it s affecting my daily life which I feel embrassed to see anyone. I d greatly appreciate if you could help me out. Thank you very much.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would use a miconazole cream twice a day on the red area for 7-10 days. This would help in case this is a yeast infection.

If you see no improvement in 4-5 days or you notice any worsening, you will need to see your local provider and have a good check of the area to make sure of the diagnosis.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. Let me know if I may assist you further.

Regards,
