Suggest Treatment For Red And Swollen Lump On The Gums
I have two red things on my gums, one in the front that I can see is red and very tender and swollen and one at the back of my mouth on the gum that I can't see which is tender and I can feel with my tongue a slight crater in it which isnt the same as the one at the front that just looks like a growth.
I have gone through your query and can understand your health concerns..
As per your complain and symptoms the red bumps can be Canker sores or Apthous ulcers which can occur on any mucosal surfaces in mouth and gums can be one of those..
You need not to worry as it will resolve in a week to about 1O days time..
You should do warm saline gargles. Gargle with 1:1 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water.. Apply milk of magnesia over the sores.. In case of pain Lignocaine gel can be applied over the sores.. Take a Multivitamin tablet like Zincovit for 15 days.. Avoid hot and spicy food.. Drink plenty of cold water to maintain hydration as well it helps in reducing inflammation.. Use a soft toothbrush to avoid trauma to ulcers.. Maintain a good oral hygiene..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
