Suggest Treatment For Red Blotches On Rib Cage
I have red blotches on my rib cage. They don t itch, but they are ugly. One is particularly bigger than all the rest, and it look like the tip area of skin on it is dread. I have been researching this and people have said that they have gotten this after being hit by a leech. Although they never say what they did afterwards. 2 weeks ago I went camping and was bit by a leech. Should I go to the doctor? Is it from a leech.

Your History and description suggests that you may be suffering from Pityriasis rosea, which is a scaly skin rash caused by Herpes virus and sometimes the cause is unknown and it is not contagious. It does not seem to be bitten by leech.
However,It has to be confirmed, kindly get yourself examined by a Dermatologist so that he/she may examine you and suggest a blood work and biopsy to rule out other causes with similar symptoms.
Once confirmed you will be treated accordingly with Antiviral medications and Phototherapy if the symptoms worsen.
However, it may be better if you can send across a picture of the lesion,so that so that I can answer your queries better.
Follow these instructions to get some relief.
1) Use lukewarm water when you shower or bathe, because it is less irritating.
2) If you have itching, use calamine lotion.
3) take antihistamines like cetrizine available over the counter and go for regular follow up.
Consult dermatologist for complete examination and treatment.
