Suggest Treatment For Red Blotches On The Chest And Abdomen

I have an area with red blotches on my chest and my stomach around my waist and goes up my sides. They range in size from about the size of a quarter to the size of a pea and there is no blisters and they don t itch. I went to the dr. two weeks ago and they did a test which was negative for fungal and I was told to use a steroid cream and see if that helps. I have tried many things along with the steroid cream but nothing seems to make it go away. Is there something else to try or should I go back in and have it re checked? I am on a limited budget so I don t want to keep visiting the clinic if at all possible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
