Hello,
Your son aged 4 years has suddenly developed a red bump at the back of the head. It does not hurt him when you push on it. May be he hit his head somewhere. You can initially apply ointment Thrombophob on the area affected, it will help to reduce inflammation and any blood clot under the skin. If it is reducing, continue to apply. But if it does not it may be a matter of concern. If the bump is due to a skin condition, it is given conservative treatment.
If the bump is due to a head or
bone injury, depending on the type of injury and severity it is treated. If the bump is caused by a
tumor, it needs to be evaluated before treatment. Lumps on the back of the head are commonly caused due to
cyst, swollen gland, skin tag, etc. You are suggested to get your son clinically examined by a GP or pediatrics, get X-ray and other required tests done to stay on the safer side. He will be treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
