Suggest Treatment For Red Bumps On Chest, Neck And Face
Hi, I have a rash of small red bumps, some with white right on top. It covers my chest and is spreading to my neck and face. I recently was prescribed cipro, because of a tonsil issue. This is the same reaction I have had with 5 other antibiotics. Never have I ever had this rash any time other than taking an antibiotic. This time it seems to be spreading more than the other times. It doesn t really itch, it s just ugly and has spread over the last couple days. I took my last pill of cipro about 4 days ago and the rash started right around the time I took the last pill. I really don t want to pay for the copay at an urgent care and my doctor s office is closed for the next 3 days. Do I really need to seek medical attention or will the rash fade on its own? I have been taking benadryl and it doesn t seem to be helping.

Understanding your concern. As per your query have ed bumps on chest, neck and face. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like contact dermatitis , skin infection , eczema, bug bite and other medical condition . I would suggest you to stop using any cosmetic product , only apply petroleum jelly , protect your skin from sun exposure , and apply broad spectrum sunscreen when in exposure to sun . Also take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl. Consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically , take history , order skin test for allergy and blood test . Doctor may order corticosteroid ointment , anti allergic medicine , antibiotics and may alter the dose of or prescribe substitute .
