Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Red eye lids can occur due to infection or allergy.
Response to steroids indicate an allergic cause for the redness.
This response could be due to allergy against environmental allergens.
Preventing exposure to the allergen is the definitive treatment.
I suggest you to consult your doctor for symptomatic treatment.
In order to determine the nature of allergen, you may require a patch test.
You may have to consult a dermatologist for the patch test to determine the cause of allergy.

Thanks and take care
