Suggest Treatment For Red Inflamed Area At The Top Of Buttocks

My 13 y/o girl has a red inflamed area over her tail bone at the top of her butt. It is sore and painful but not draining anything. Looks like it could be an abscess but I do not see a head . She had a 101.7 temp yesterday. Does she need antibiotics? Will it just go away?
