Suggest Treatment For Red, Itchy And Raised Rashes
My nephew has developed a hive like rash over the past 24 hours that has gotten worsened. It started out like mosquito bites, but have gotten larger and itch, they are red and raised. Do you know what it might be or what to do to relieve the itching?
It seems definitely caused due to some insect bite which left its stinger embedded on the skin and the stinger releases poisonous chemical which causes allergic reaction and as the stinger is present it keeps on releasing poison and the symptoms exaggerate.. -The first thing that you should do is to get the stinger removed if it is seen over the skin surface. -Give him antiallergic medicine like Benadryl or Claritin depending upon his age.. -Apply a steroid based ointment over the lesion like 1% Hydrocortisone to reduce itching and swelling and redness.. -Cold packs can help.. -If there is pain OTC painkiller like Ibuprofen can help..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
