Suggest Treatment For Red Itchy Keloid Scar On The Chest
I have a keloid and it is itchy and red on the one side of the scar about 1cm. Six years a go I had a white head on my chest. I tried to squeeze it out several times. Eventually it became large the size of a pea. When the doctor removed the sist he accidentally pinched it and white paste came out. Now six years later I saw last week if I pinched the scar, some white paste is coming out. A year ago I had two cordesone injections to help soften the scar and to help for the itchiness. Then I use silicone plaster for a few months and it helped a lot. What worried me is this white paste that is coming out.
Hello, It sounds like you are developing sebaceous cysts. These are areas where an oil gland gets blocked and a white cheesy bad smelling material builds up in the cyst. They are harmless but annoying. If the discharge is runny and the skin is red, this could indicate infection. It is always best not to squeeze these cysts. Regards
