Suggest Treatment For Red Rashes And Blotches On Face And Cheeks

My 9 yr old daughter started having red rashes and blotches on her face, cheek, and the bridge of her nose about a week ago. I put Cotizone 10 on her face which alleviated the symptoms. But today it s gotten worse, but shifted slightly to the left. I am clueless in how to handle the situation. Please help! Kahlil Atlanta

Hello,

The following are few probable causes of your daughter's red rashes on face:
1) Seborrhic dermatitis
2) Rosacea
3) Irritant contact dermatitis
4) Psoriasis
5) Shingles
6) Acute cutaneous lupus erythematosis

Your daughter has to be examined first in person by a dermatologist and only then we can arrive at a specific diagnosis and thus appropriate treatment given. Please consult a dermatologist. Also please don't apply steroid creams as there would be a chance of worsening of symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
