Suggest Treatment For Red Spot With White Center Inside Lower Eyeleid
I have a very small red spot with a whitish centre inside my lower eyelid--it does not irritate and it is not swollen--I have had it for about 5 weeks and it has not got worse or better--it started after a small bit of mud went in my eye after hiting a golf ball--however there is nothing in the eye which is quite obvious when you look at it--and clearly if something had stayed in from the golf it would have become irritated-I really would not know it was there if I didnt pull the lid down and look at it--I am surprised that nature has not cleared it up --I did for about 3 days--about a week ago treat it with anti bacterial eye drops every two hours or so for three days--but it had no effect. Thanks in advance for your opinion.
It seems from the history that you are having a red spot with white centered lesion of the lower eyelid. Since this is there for more than 5 weeks, this can be chalazion which is a non infective inflammatory lesion of the meibiomian gland of the eyelid. The treatment is by use of antiinflammatory drugs and hot compression. If it is not responding to treatment incision and curettage is required. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
