Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have red spots on my penile head and I have no idea what or where they come from. I m 18, I have a good health. These spots do not hurt or anything, they are really red in color. No swelling or Spillage , I use creams of all sorts . Before I get all worked up. What do you recommend???
If the spots are not painful then you can be pretty sure it's not herpes (what people often are worried about). If there is any risk that it could be sexually transmitted then you may want to see a doctor for testing. If there was no sex involved and you are not worried about this then it could be an allergic reaction (you could try using some vaseline to protect the area and let it heal), a fungal infection (I would try clotrimazole or another over the counter cream, especially if it itches, a bacterial infecton (would probably hurt more) or just some irritation. Either way may be worth having someone look at it. You could give it a week or two with some vaseline first and see what happens.
Take care,
Dr D
