Suggest Treatment For Red Spots On The Forehead, Face And Neck Of A Child

Hello how are you today? I have a question regarding my 2 yr old he has 1 red spot on his forehead, face, and neck they have a small bump in the center and they itch causing him to scratch and causes bleeding. Do you have any idea what they could be? Thanks

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query your child have red spots on the forehead, face and neck which seems to be due to viral infection could be due to shingles, chicken pox and it could be due to pyoderma as well. I would suggest you maintain complete hygiene and avoid these areas from excessive exposure to sunlight and keep them dry. You should visit a pediatrician once and start treatment after proper examination and prescription. Take proper course of Acyclovir along with apply calamine as soothing lotion. Give child plenty of water.
